Our family fur ball, Havana.
So...it's been a while. Hopefully I'm back for good this time. Over the next few posts I'll be playing "ketchup", as with the rest of my life. So here's a quick update of the last 6 months comings and goings of the Tuttle family.
Kansas hasn't had the greatest weather over the last 9 months. Last December we had an ice storm that put most of Manhattan out of power, some areas out for over a week. As you can imagine there were a lot of cold and hungry people trying to prepare for the holidays. Our neighborhood was lucky as we were only out for a few minutes. The storm systems also dropped enough snow for several snowmen and a lot of sledding.
In June catastrophe struck again with a tornado that destroyed about 30 homes across town from us. The tornado was headed our direction, in fact I was watching the news coverage when it hit the K-State weather watcher camera about 1 1/2 miles away from our home. The girls and I huddled in prayer in our coat closet as the path of the tornado was headed right for us. What a blessing it lifted and headed out of town.
