Amelia's Creation

It's a tee pee, it's a fish, it's a....well, we don't know what it is but it's really cool.

This girl is going to grow up to be quite the artist. We'll have to figure out which medium is her specialty. The 'creation' was really cool. Made from construction paper and a few things she found outside in the yard her abstract masterpiece is perfectly balanced.
Thanks for the picture Mr. Rick!

OUCH! I'm a big girl now.

We spent Thanksgiving, like many before, with our friends the Sontheimers in Oklahoma City. We thought it would be fun to have all 3 girls get their ears pierced with Miss Liz. We waited until later in the afternoon of black Friday, but there was still quite a crowd. When we got to Claire's Amelia had decided that not only did she not want her ears pierced she couldn't even watch. Vanessa & Brianna both jumped right up into the chair. Although they were anxious they were determined. After it was all said and done Amelia realized it wasn't going to be the torturous experience she had imagined and told me she wanted to get hers done when we got back to Manhattan.

First Piano Recital

Where have my babies gone? Vanessa & Amelia had their first piano recital in November. They both did a fabulous job & were so brave to get up in front of all those people & play their pieces by heart. However, if I never hear the songs "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" & "Ode to Joy" ever again it would be to soon. That said-the girls do practice that piano A LOT & I am thankful for that.

"Thanksgiving Feast"

Brianna's preschool class treated the parent's to a thanksgiving feast last month. They served a delicious fruit salad, popcorn, & pumpkin bread which the preschoolers had made themselves. Well, I'm sure they had a little help from their teachers. In addition to the feast they sang some thanksgiving songs for us. Brianna we love you and you did such a great job!

HELP!

'Tis the season to send Christmas cards. Please, please email me your current address (I suppose I don't need to say current...who would send me an old address?) Anyway, when you get a moment if you wouldn't mind helping me out by sending your address to mjtuttle1@hotmail.com Thanks in advance. By the way, don't forget the '1' in the address. mjtuttle without the one is kind of cranky and doesn't like my email. Hope to hear from you soon.

Visitors!

A couple of weeks ago my sister Donna and her cute little girl Carolanne came for a visit. It was so much fun to have them to ourselves for the weekend.

Aunt Donna cooked the girls a delicious breakfast. mmmmmmm.

What could be more nutritional than Nutella, marshmallows, and cool whip for breakfast. I guess there were strawberries.

The girls were so proud of the faces they had created we had to document them.

...and this is cute little Carolanne, or Care bear I should say. She is such a sweetheart!

Kuwait-ing

Here's a little of what Brian has been doing for the last 7 weeks...
"Aslan on patrol" You probably know Brian, let me introduce you to his webkinz Aslan. That's right, tough army dentist carries around a stuffed lion. It was a gift from the girls. A way for them to communicate via inter net with him. It's been really fun for them.

And I thought Kansas was flat...

This is one of the perks being an army dentist. Target practice on heavy artillery.

"Fire Away!"

Can anyone guess what it says on the red cup?

"Nighttime in Kuwait."

Brian is now in Iraq and working on patients (or patience either one works here). I'm sure he misses the target practice though. More on Operation Iraqi Freedom later.
